United Arab Emirates Flag
As a completely independent federation of seven countries (Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras as-Khaimah, Sarajah, Umm al Quwain) the United Arab Emirates (or UAE as they’ve become known) are famous or infamous for their most coveted natural resource: Oil. And despite their lacking in other natural resources, they are inextricably bound by this one most sought after resource which binds them together. The United Arab Emirates flag is indicative of this: three equal sized horizontal stripes along the middle and right third (green, white, black) and with one red stripe running along the left side of the flag. This setup offers many meanings – the one most obvious is that with the bedrock of oil (black) and the money ruling over everything else (green) there are so many innocent souls (white) trapped in between it all as the lives spent with blood (red) pervades the entiretiy of the mess.
However the United Arab Emirates is still then home to many different people for many years and will continue to be so for some time to come.
